In a full-game run you should come in with an egg to shoot the piranha in the opening room. Running into the shell at :35 is a bad idea for full-game since it collects a flower and loses time on the score screen. At :41 just run off the ledge and do three full tongues while holding right. This will slow you down just enough to avoid the moving platforms and the right wall at the end.
